Lisa Gilmore - About the Artist

Growing up in an artistic family, Lisa can't remember the exact first time she had a pencil or a paint brush in her hand. Being surrounded by art and creativity her entire life, it just sort of feels to be planted in her DNA. Her mom and great - grandmother would give her lessons on the basics of art, "your eyes fall in the center of your head, your head is five eyes wide, you have to find the source where your light is coming from." The list of lessons goes on and on.

Lisa is an artist and interior designer, finding inspiration in everyday life and infusing those inspirations into everyday dwellings. Intrigued by color, pattern and texture, she finds a way to incorporate her love of color into her custom paintings. Not always having a distinct plan of action with color, it usually just falls into place, which showcases her natural artistic/design aesthetic.
