Product Description

Seeing your pet dog chase its food in the aluminum food bowl can be a frustrating experience for any pet lover. The concrete dog bowl from The Urban Animal Scientist has been especially designed to make sure that that doesn’t happen. Made of high quality hand poured concrete, this dog bowl is heavy enough to stay in place, but light enough to be portable. This dog bowl makes sure that the food remains in the center of the bowl and there is a reduction in air intake thanks to the bowl being shaped as per the muzzle shape of dogs.

Compliment the concrete dog bowl with a separate water bowl from which the dog can sip whenever it wants, even between its meals. Each bowl is made of concrete and is unique in color because of the difference in the nature of the concrete.

The concrete dog bowl from The Urban Animal Scientist can be washed with warm water and mild detergent. It is best to avoid exposing the bowl to acidic substances like lemon and vinegar. A fresh coating of food safe concrete sealer should be applied every few months to enhance the longevity of the bowl.

For dog lover who are really in love with their pooches, the concrete dog bowl from The Urban Animal Scientist is a product that should make them rejoice.

Care and Maintenance

*clean with warm water and mild soap, never clean with any acidic substances or cleaners such as vinegar, lemons ect.

each bowl is lightly sealed before being shipped using a food safe sealer.

bare concrete is porous and vulnerable to staining and chemical attack. liquids will tend to soak into the surface, carrying stains into the concrete itself. acidic substances like vinegar and lemon juice will dissolve the cement paste, etching the surface. for concrete to be a practical bowl material, it must be sealed to protect it from water absorption, stains and etching.

the ideal sealer for concrete bowls must satisfy the basic criteria that are important both to pets and the longevity of the bowls themselves.

we strongly recommend that customers re-apply a non-toxic/food safe concrete sealer every few months throughout the lifespan their bowls.

may take 2-3 weeks to ship when bowls are in high demand***
